Any tips on what components to use for recording a MPG video from a Direct Show device using a Direct Show filter?

AVI with a codec is too slow to record HD video.

A lot can depend on the codec, perhaps you can try the x264vfw codec.

Thanks Dave but I'm trying to figure out how to select and use the Direct Show Filters which are a different animal.
