Full Version: Any way to play AVCHS (.mts, .m2ts) files with VL?

I need to be able to play/process a healthy range of video files, and I see that I can use the AFSPlayer for .afs and .wmv files, AVIPlayer for .avi's, and DSVideoPlayer for a few others, but not AVCHS files. Am I out of luck? Will I have to convert these files if I'm to use them with VideoLab?
btw, I've tried to use ffmpeg to convert files to .avi and .wmv, but none of the VL players will play the results.

The VL players have better luck with files converted by Aiseesoft's "MTS Converter".

Hi Ted,

You probably should try to find a DirectShow codec for the files.

Cheers,
Boian

Thanks Boian but I've been unable to find one (for mp4). I installed ffdshow but I'm not getting any results -- just a SEHxception when I try to play an mp4 file with a DSVideoPlayer (C#, Windows 7 64 bit, Visual Studio 2010).
