ExternalSegmentGaugeElement -- How To Display an Integer Value?

The embedded elements feature of InstrumentLab is EXACTLY what I need in order to produce a great gauge for our firefighting application. However, I'm bewildered as to how to set the properties for the segment gauge element so that it shows a non-leading-zero integer value for an integer number between 0 and 100???!!!! I set the display of the decimal point to FALSE, set the segment gauge to be 3 digits, but I still end up with a trailing zero! So, for a Value property of 71 (which I want to display as "71"), I end up displaying 710! How do I turn off this annoying behavior? Thanks again for your advice!
