Hello,
I'm using VideoLab .NET components in my C++/CLI project to recieve videostream from IP camera, save it to file adn show it in ImageDisplay component. I try to connect 4 cameras at once but I got 100% CPU loading while trying to save to file with compression. After checking mediainfo of file without compression I found out that I recieve stream with 500Mbit/s bit rate while camera gives 4Mbit bit rate stream. Guess that bit rate is cause of Bits/(Pixel*Frame) value that is 24.000 by default. Could I change this value somehow to recieve normal bit rate stream from camera? Or are there any other solutions of my problem?
I have Intel Core i5 750 2.67 GHz CPU

Thanks in advance.

"An unhandled exception of type 'System.Runtime.InteropServices.SEHException' occurred in Mitov.VideoLab.dll
You also can only move the Mouse Pointer, and you will see that there is an extreme latency !!!

Hello,
I have implemented an app using VideoLab that captures videos from the webcam using dsCapture (no audio/no video compression right now), shows the preview on a window and at the same time saves the captured video into a file by using aviLogger.

Sometimes I get two problems though:
1) At some point the audio gets desynchronized from the video with videos longer than 1 or 2 minutes (already checked that framerate of webcam corresponds to capture frame rate)

2) Sometimes when finishing recording and checking for the file just saved I realize the last 2/3 seconds of the recording are missing from the file. So, What is the proper way to close and save the file once recording is stopped by the user (via button on the GUI)?

Right now I am using the aviLogger Progress callback and when the "Args.currentFrame is >= currentFrame when recording was stopped"
I do the following in sequence (aviLogger is the member name of the component):
aviLogger.Close();
aviLogger.Enabled = false;
dsCapture.Enabled = false;

Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance,
1) Concatenate multiple videos into a single video

2) Overlap the videos by a small amount (perhaps 0.5s) with a fade transition between the videos

3) Compress the resulting single video to MP4 format

Can I do this with your VideoLab library? I'm thinking I have to create a DSVideoPlayer instance for each source video, wire them each to a single VideoMixer component, add a DSVideoCompressor component, and then use a DSVideoLogger component to write out the resulting file.

Is this about right?

Hi,

when I try to alter the font style for drawing text using the DrawTextLayer class, I get a NullReferenceException:

var style = new Vcl.FontStyles();
style.Bold = font.Bold; // Here the exception is thrown

Is this a bug or is there another way to alter the font style?

I'm using version 5.0.2.0 of the VideoLab .Net components.

Thank you!
is it possible to define a background color when displaying a text using the DrawTextLayer class? I'd like to do that in order to make the text more readable having a constant contrast.

Hi,

I had previously used 4.5 without problems, yet now when I try and compile with 5.0.1 I get the following error:

Error	1	Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:/Program Files (x86)/LabPacks/DotNET/Bin/2.0/Mitov.Native.AudioLabBasic.dll' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. Line 130, position 5.	C:\Program Files (x86)\LabPacks\DotNET\Demos\C#\VideoLabDemos\FreeFrameDemo\Form1.resx	130	5	FreeFrameDemo
The project is set to compile as x86 and not x64.

Any thoughts?

I am trying to apply GaussianBlur filter on bitmap, like:

Bitmap bmDest = gaussianBlur1.ProcessBitmap(bmSource);

where bmSource is a bitmap with pixel format Format32bppRgb.

All I get, is the exception "Attempted to read or write protected memory."

When testing for example with MorphFilter instead of GaussianBlur, it works correctly inside the same program code.

What might I do wrong?
Thank for any help,

Hi,

i am checking out different video sdk's for a project. What i need to do is capture video from a webcam (or at least a capture source). But i should then be able to overlay flash file.

Can the vision sdk do this? At this moment we are thinking about using medialooks sdk for this, because that seems to be the only one that does it with an ok quality.
