Setting resolution camera
I'm writing a little program to capture video frames from a webcam and save them as avi. My setup is simple
Dscapture > mirror > snapshot > DSvideologger Works great!! Only one problem. All the video seems to be saved in resolution 1280 X 720. I have tried to set the resolution to 1920 X 1080 (my HP HD-4410 is capable, It works with the oem software) but nothing changes. Tried all resolution but the result is always 1280 X 720. BTW Great soft!!! |

RE: Setting resolution camera
Hi! Is that streaming 1920x1080 or single shots?
You should also try searching for this here, i think someone else had a similar issue. Regards, Dave |

RE: Setting resolution camera
Still, does the OEM software perhaps interpolate the image or is it streaming full HD?

The datasheet states (HP HD-4110): VIDEO RESOLUTION • Full 1080P (1920x1080) VIDEO RESOLUTION SUPPORT • Live video resolutions supported at up to 30 frames per second: - 352 x 288 - 424 x 240 - 432 x 240 - 640 x 360 - 640 x 480 - 800 x 448 - 800 x 600 - 960 x 544 - 960 x 720 - 1280 x 720 • Video record at up to 1920 x 1080[/undefined] The difference between "video record" and "video resolution" is not very clear but they keep calling it "full HD 1080p" |

RE: Setting resolution camera
If all else fails, read the manual.. which, in this case, isn't very helpful either. Perhaps you can try a program, like VirtualDub, to see if you can capture video in full-HD.
