					Hope you don't mind me jumping in with mt 2c  Check out the Xvid codec, it does a great job in real time. This is the one I decided to use with our app, it is open source and no worries about roailities. Google should find the Xvid web site where you can down load it.

					Thank you, this was a great tip -- not just for the XVid codec, but after installing it I figured out how to properly configure the VLDSVideoLogger! I was previously not setting the VideoCompression.Compressions elements, I had missed the fact that you can insert new items in the Compressions editor. That opened up a whole new world.
